About The Position

The Backroom Processor is responsible for supporting store operations and delivering a highly satisfied customer experience. The role involves engaging with customers, maintaining an organized and clean store, adhering to operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards, and processing merchandise for the sales floor. The associate may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The position also supports a positive store culture, contributes to shrink-reduction and safety programs, and follows applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
