About The Position

The Backroom Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture, processes merchandise for the sales floor, assists with customer transactions, and contributes to store recovery, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow the company's merchandising philosophy and procedures.
Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
