Part Time Backroom Associate
About The Position
The Backroom Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfactory customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and helping maintain a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes preparing and processing merchandise for the sales floor, supporting store recovery and cleanliness, assisting customers with purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, and contributing to safety and shrink-reduction efforts. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, respect, and effective collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
