About The Position

A well-funded, early-stage AI company in San Francisco is hiring ten Backend Engineers as its engineering team grows. The company combines artificial intelligence and group purchasing to help businesses reduce cloud costs and is preparing to launch a large language model product.

In this onsite role, you will own backend projects from start to finish on a flat team without silos. You will design, build, and scale the services and infrastructure behind the savings platform, contribute to the new LLM product, work alongside the founding engineers and a CEO who codes with the team, and improve engineering quality through code reviews, development workflows, CI/CD, and system reliability.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Backend Engineer, Senior Backend Engineer, Software Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer.
• An undergraduate degree in computer science or engineering from a top university.
• Experience at a fast-paced B2B startup, AWS, or a larger technology company.
• Excellent system design skills.
• Current authorization to work in the United States. TN or H-1B visa transfers are considered; new visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, DynamoDB, cloud cost tooling, or large language models.
