Backend Engineer

Melio is a fintech company that aims to digitize the B2B payments process, allowing small businesses to focus more on managing their business rather than their bank balance. They have developed a solution that simplifies B2B payments, which is particularly significant considering that a large percentage of business payments in the US are still made by check. Melio's backend infrastructure consists of three main groups: Payments Group, Risk Group, and Data Infra Group, each playing a crucial role in driving the company's growth and success. They are looking for tech enthusiasts who are passionate about learning and contributing to their innovative approach.

• Build and manage the engine that drives Melio's B2B payments process
• Orchestrate the flow of funds between businesses both inside the US and internationally
• Digitize old-fashioned banking systems and processes
• Collaborate with Data Science to develop fraud detection and eligibility services
• Prevent money losses through risk and compliance measures
• Integrate with third parties to gather data and make it available for all departments
• Manage data and ML-Ops in Melio's data infrastructure group

• Passion for learning and growth

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python
• Knowledge of relational and document databases
