About The Position

Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) is hiring two part-time Back Office Clinic Assistants to join our Salem Health Center team. This role offers the opportunity to build real clinical skills, get hands-on experience, and start a healthcare career with purpose. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service or high-volume environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patients and coworkers
  • Comfort working independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a medical setting or working directly with patients
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
  • Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, or CNA certification
  • Spanish language skills

Responsibilities

  • Room patients, take vital signs, and prepare them for their visit
  • Support providers during exams and procedures
  • Assist with lab work, including specimen collection and processing
  • Clean, stock, and prepare exam rooms and instruments
  • Answer patient questions and help them feel informed and at ease
  • Work closely with your team to keep the clinic running smoothly
