About The Position

Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) is hiring a Back Office Clinic Assistant to join our Beaverton Health Center team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work directly with patients and clinicians to help provide high-quality, compassionate sexual and reproductive health care. You will build clinical skills, support patient flow, and help create a welcoming and affirming experience for every patient. As a Back Office Clinic Assistant, you’ll support patients before, during, and after their visits while working closely with clinicians and the rest of the health center team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced health care environment
  • Comfort working directly with patients and providing hands-on clinical support
  • Ability to learn clinical procedures, workflows, and electronic health record systems
  • Commitment to providing inclusive, patient-centered care to people from diverse backgrounds and communities

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a health care or clinical setting
  • Medical Assistant or similar clinical training or experience
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and prepare them for their visit
  • Take patient histories, vital signs, and other clinical information
  • Perform blood draws, injections, and laboratory testing within your training and scope
  • Assist clinicians with procedures and patient care
  • Provide patient education and instructions
  • Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and supplies
  • Document accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the health center
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality standards
  • Provide compassionate, inclusive, and trauma-informed care to patients from a wide range of backgrounds
