About The Position

Chick-fil-A Medina is seeking a Back of House Operations Leader (Maintenance Coach) to join their leadership team. This role is a hands-on leadership opportunity that combines kitchen operations, team development, facilities stewardship, and preventative maintenance. The leader will help manage daily Back of House operations, develop Team Members and future leaders, and ensure the restaurant consistently delivers remarkable food quality, food safety, and operational excellence. Working with an experienced leadership team, the individual will learn to manage systems, coach and develop others, improve efficiency, and create a culture of accountability and ownership. This role also involves maintaining the restaurant's equipment and facilities, protecting the tools and systems that enable high-level operation. Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in a workplace environment
  • Experience leading people in a fast-paced setting
  • Comfortable working in both operational and hands-on environments
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work open availability
  • Desire to develop others and lead through servant leadership
  • Must have basic understanding of kitchen operations
  • Passion for Chick-fil-A's values

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in restaurants, facilities, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, skilled trades, military leadership, or operations leadership is preferred
  • Technical training, trade school, OSHA certifications, or maintenance experience is a plus
  • Hospitality experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Delivering operational excellence, working through all areas of BOH to ensure production remarkable food quality
  • Lead and develop Back of House Team Members and future leaders
  • Become certified in restaurant operations and shift leadership
  • Build and oversee preventative maintenance systems for a $7M+ restaurant
  • Protect and steward restaurant equipment, facilities, and assets
  • Coordinate vendor relationships and facility service providers
  • Develop cleaning and maintenance schedules that support operational excellence
  • Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues while creating long-term solutions
  • Identify and coach high-potential Team Members for future leadership opportunities
  • Support food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
  • Help create a culture of servant leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Building high-performance teams, identifying and coaching leaders for Back of House
  • Manage a team of 50+, creating an inspiring vision, coaching and holding people accountable to high standards
  • Increasing profitability through implementing procedures to reduce costs, increase productivity, and managing lean inventory systems.
  • Maintaining a work environment that ensures and promotes food & team safety
