Pape’ Kenworth is seeking a Back Counter Salesperson to join their team in Anchorage, AK. Requirements

  • Self-motivated and assertive drive, with the ability to work in solitude for most of the shift.
  • Knowledge of Class 8 Truck parts.
  • At least one year of experience in parts sales or as a diesel technician.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers by telephone and in person.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Above-average organizational skills.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Ability to lift heavy items, sometimes over 100lbs, but often over 40lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ECAT or a similar program.
  • Knowledge of parts inventory.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts (training is available).

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Service Department to ensure a high level of parts support.
  • Research, source, and price parts for service repairs.
  • Determine parts needs using literature, computer programs, and parts knowledge.
  • Pull parts and stage them for service technicians and customers.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, services, and parts, including associated costs.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide relief for front counter parts members, including responding to customers in person or by telephone and providing quotes or estimates.
  • Process credits, make adjustments, and monitor restocking charges on all parts sales.
  • Perform shipping/receiving and warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Work Monday – Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
