About The Position

The Parts Sales Representative for the Back Counter is responsible for managing parts order requests received via telephone, e-mail, or in-person. This role involves utilizing manufacturer and vendor catalogs to accurately locate parts for both internal and external customers, and advising them on related parts. Key duties include following up on backordered parts and communicating status updates to customers. The representative must ensure adherence to inventory control practices, communicate inventory issues to the Parts Manager, and coordinate with the Service Department regarding parts availability and pricing. Ultimately, the position aims to provide effective solutions for customer needs and assist with various other projects as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of heavy truck/auto parts or shop experience
  • Customer service skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
