About The Position

CraneWorks is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Back Counter Parts Associate to join our Williston, North Dakota team. This position plays a critical role in supporting our service technicians, field personnel, and customers by accurately identifying, sourcing, receiving, stocking, and distributing heavy equipment and crane parts. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent organizational skills, and takes pride in delivering outstanding internal and external customer service. This position also performs a variety of administrative duties that support the daily operations of the parts department and branch.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment components.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized inventory management systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous heavy equipment, crane, construction equipment, truck, agricultural equipment, or industrial parts experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal technicians and external customers.
  • Assist technicians in identifying and locating the correct replacement parts for heavy equipment and cranes.
  • Receive, inspect, verify, and stock incoming parts shipments.
  • Pick, package, and distribute parts for shop work orders and field service requests.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and inventory control procedures.
  • Process parts orders, returns, warranty items, and vendor credits.
  • Research parts availability, pricing, and lead times with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Coordinate parts transfers between CraneWorks locations when needed.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe parts warehouse and back counter area.
  • Utilize computer systems to enter parts orders, maintain inventory records, and update customer information.
  • Prepare shipping documents and coordinate outbound shipments.
  • Assist with purchase orders, invoices, filing, recordkeeping, and other administrative tasks.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer and technician inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Support branch operations with additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.
  • Follow all CraneWorks safety policies and procedures.
