About The Position

The position Full time faculty positions begin in July 2026 with a 30-credit hour (170 day contract per Board Policy 4.12) teaching load annually. The successful candidate will teach a variety of upper and lower division courses spanning all CMC business degrees from among the subdisciplines of Business, Marketing, Management, Accounting or Finance, depending on qualifications. Teaching responsibilities expected of all faculty include teaching course load as assigned; evaluating courses and assessing student learning; meeting established course, program and student learning outcomes; complying with guidelines and policies; maintaining office hours per established standards; developing rapport with students; assisting with and participating in advising; participating in orientation; and registration activities. CMC Faculty are expected to engage in scholarly endeavors as well as service activities such as campus and college committees, participation in relevant projects, peer mentoring, participation in and assist with assessment activities, program review, student organization, recruiting and retention. Position can be held at any approved CMC campus and will teach a combination of courses collegewide (remotely) and in-person. Preference will be given to applicants choosing the Aspen and Carbondale campuses. Requirements: Qualified candidates must be credentialed to teach in this program, or eligible to be credentialed. Examples of ideal qualifications include: A minimum of a master’s degree in Business Administration or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in business, economics, finance, accounting, management, marketing, organizational development, or related fields. Minimum of one-year, full-time teaching experience or the equivalent as an adjunct faculty member. Teaching or training in related fields either in education or industry will be considered. Responsibilities

  • Teach course load as assigned

  • Maintain at least five office hours per week to meet with students
  • Develop rapport with students that is professional and encourages teacher/student communication

  • Represent discipline on state, national, and international levels
  • Participate in relevant projects with administrative approval

  • Modify, develop, and maintain curriculum
  • Assist with assessment activities (e.g., develop learning outcomes and assessment projects for courses, disciplines, and programs)
  • Assist with program review
  • Advise student organizations
  • Participate in recruiting/retention activities
  • Attend and participate in program, discipline, in-service, and campus meetings
  • Develop promotion portfolio
  • Participate in community service activities (as appropriate)
