Requirements
- Prior experience in babysitting, childcare, or a related caregiving role preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with strong references
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families
- Ability to pass a background check
- Patient, energetic, and genuinely passionate about working with children
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, hands-on childcare in clients' homes across the Long Island area
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, games, and educational play
- Prepare light meals and snacks while maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Assist with homework, bedtime routines, and daily schedules as needed
- Communicate openly and professionally with parents and guardians regarding the child's day
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies or unexpected situations
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment at all times
