About The Position

SAIC is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role involves building and running an internal developer platform using Azure, CI/CD, Kubernetes, pipelines, and automation for both connected and air-gapped environments. The engineer will focus on core tooling such as GitLab for source control and pipelines, Terraform for automation, Python for helpers/tests, and Helm for Kubernetes deployments. The platform stack includes Microsoft Azure Stack Hub and Hyper-V sidecar. Delivery expectations involve trunk-based GitLab workflows, deterministic pipelines with built-in testing and security scans, evidence attached to every change, and no manual operations. The role also requires managing supply chain and air-gap hygiene through artifact movement, mirroring, and offline scanning/promotion for high-side environments. Security and identity are key, with a focus on secret hygiene, secrets management familiarity, and comfort with vulnerability/misconfiguration scanning in CI (SAST, IaC, secret detection, Semgrep/KICS, Trivy/pip-audit).
