About The Position

As part of the Detroit Diesel Corporation team, you are responsible for performing manual labor on or supporting the production line.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • MUST be open to work any shift
  • Basic reading and math skills
  • Basic understanding of engine assembly, design, and function
  • Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment that requires the ability to lift, carry, pull and push moderate to heavy equipment, tools and parts

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of manufacturing experience
  • Heavy duty truck assembly, automotive assembly or related experience

  • Use required hand tools and supplied power tools in assigned task assembly.

  • Comfortable in a dynamic environment where you will have to learn multiple jobs and tasks.

Benefits

  • Starting at $17.50/hr, progressing through scheduled increases to $26.00/hr, with a maximum rate of $37.40+ by 2031.
  • Afternoon and Midnight shifts receive a 7.5% premium.
  • Average of 16 paid holidays per year.

  • Cost Of Living Adjustment (COLA): Currently $0.26/hr increase and recalculated quarterly.

  • Vacation: 40–200 hours based on years of service (1 year to 20+ years).
  • Paid Absence Allowance (PAA): 56 hours per year; unused days earn $130/day bonus
