About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Senior Developer with extensive experience in building and managing cloud solutions on AWS. The role involves modernizing applications, developing data lakes, and implementing robust ETL processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical guidance, and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and efficient AWS solutions. This position requires strong hands-on software development skills and a deep understanding of DevOps and data governance practices.

Requirements

Proficient in using various AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue Crawlers, and Athena to build and manage cloud solutions.
Extensive experience in data processing and transformation using AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, EMR, Athena, Amazon Managed Service for Apache Flink, AWS Step Functions, and AWS SageMaker.
Experience in data ingestion and storage using S3, Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, Amazon Kinesis Data Firehouse, and DMS.
Experience in modernizing applications, including refactoring, migration, and cloud-native development.
Knowledge of modern database technologies and strategies for migrating and modernizing database systems.
Experience in creating AWS ETL jobs and data pipelines with high volumes of data.
Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools.
Hands-on software development skills in Java, J2EE, Java Spring framework, and Hibernate technology.
Experience with Agile/Scrum Framework environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
Knowledge of security and data governance covering fine-grained permissions, managing user and service permissions, data encryption, auditing, and compliance.
Hands-on skills in Python scripting.
Experience working with transactional or RDMS databases.
Experience with DevSecOps, IaC, building CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging.

Nice To Haves

Experience with data analytics and business intelligence solutions like Power BI or AWS QuickSight.
AWS Certification.
Prior experience in object-oriented languages.
Experience with public sector or government projects.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective modernization strategies.
Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery.
Act as an advisor to the technical team on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Develop, test, debug, and deliver within the timeline using the best tools and best practices available.
Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and challenges.
Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to organizational needs.
Identify architectural risks and plan to mitigate risks.
Ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
Communicate effectively with non-technical audiences, including senior leadership and business stakeholders.
Develop and build AWS Data Lake formation, contributing to design, development, and writing code.
Customize AWS ETL logic using Python code.
