About The Position

The Investor Services team is responsible for managing the ongoing needs of H.I.G.’s global investor base. The team partners closely with investment professionals, Capital Formation, Investor Relations, Legal and Compliance, and Finance to deliver a high level of investor service and ensure inquiries and operational matters are addressed accurately and efficiently. Within Investor Services, we are seeking an experienced AVP to oversee transfer agency and investor servicing operations for private investment funds distributed through the private wealth channel. These evergreen products have monthly subscriptions, quarterly redemptions, and significant investor activity across RIAs, RIA custodians, broker dealers, and alternative investment platforms. The AVP will be responsible for oversight of the third-party transfer agent, subscription and redemption activity, and operational coordination with distribution partners, custodians, and platform providers. The role will also be responsible for strengthening the operating model, controls, and processes necessary to support continued growth and increasing transaction volumes. The successful candidate will have experience supporting alternative investment products distributed through the private wealth channel, with a strong understanding of transfer agency, intermediary relationships, and the operational infrastructure required to support high volume evergreen funds.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or similar required.
10+ years of relevant industry experience in transfer agency, fund operations, investor services, or alternative investment operations with 5+ years of retail investor experience
Experience supporting evergreen or continuously offered alternative investment products, including recurring subscriptions and periodic liquidity.
Strong understanding of alternative investments distributed through the private wealth channel, including RIAs, custodians, broker dealers, and individual investors.
Experience overseeing a third-party transfer agent or fund administrator.
Strong knowledge of subscription, redemption, investor onboarding, and investor servicing processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage high transaction volumes, multiple counterparties, and time sensitive processing cycles.
Strong operational risk, controls, problem solving, and process improvement capabilities.
Comfort using AI-powered tools to improve productivity and quality of work.
Curiosity about and openness to adopting emerging AI technologies in day-to-day workflows.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with alternative investment platforms such as iCapital, CAIS, or similar providers strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee all transfer agency activities, including subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, investor onboarding, account maintenance, cash activity, reconciliations, and investor servicing.
Manage the relationship with the third-party administrator, including service levels, operational performance, exception management, issue escalation, controls, and process improvements.
Coordinate monthly subscription and quarterly redemption cycles, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and within established deadlines.
Manage operational relationships with RIAs, RIA custodians, broker dealers, and alternative investment platforms.
Support transaction processing and connectivity through DTCC AIP and platforms such as iCapital, CAIS, and other alternative investment providers.
Oversee operational onboarding of new custodians, intermediaries, distribution partners, and platforms.
Monitor transaction volumes, processing exceptions, reconciliations, and operational breaks and drive timely resolution.
Partner with Fund Accounting, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Investor Relations, Private Wealth, IT, and other internal stakeholders.
Maintain a strong control environment, including documented procedures, service level metrics, management reporting, and escalation protocols.
Identify opportunities to improve automation, straight through processing, scalability, and the overall investor servicing model.
