About The Position

The Assistant Vice President of Supply Chain Enterprise Purchased Services and Indirect Strategic Sourcing will oversee and enhance the strategic sourcing for all professional services, indirect, and IS&T products and services within the Jefferson enterprise. This role involves developing and implementing best-in-class strategic sourcing methodologies, leading a team of sourcing professionals skilled in analytics and strategic plan development, and ensuring the application of top-tier benchmark analytics. The position is pivotal in driving excellence in sourcing practices across the organization. Additionally, this role encompasses maintaining return-on-investment calculations for assigned categories and direct reports, while focusing on economic value, standardization, and cost reduction initiatives. Responsibilities include managing distribution arrangements, overseeing group purchasing strategies, and assessing market best practices. The Assistant Vice President will also lead Jefferson's emergency preparedness inventory program and develop the strategy for sourcing medical supplies, excluding pharmacy items, with a focus on country of origin considerations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, business or equivalent work experience or Master’s Degree in supply chain, business or equivalent work experience required
  • 5 years leading a complex and multi-faceted supply chain strategic sourcing organization over a complex, varied geographical environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced analytical capabilities within Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Microsoft Visio preferred, including experience in process flow diagram development, as well as organizational charts.
  • Experience in Workday, WSS and contract respiratory systems preferred.
  • Experience in preparing executive level Microsoft PowerPoint presentations preferred.
  • Microsoft Excel certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute an enterprise-wide Supply Chain strategic sourcing strategy to ensure high reliability and best-in-class performance.
  • Assist in creating and managing a five-year strategic business plan to align supply chain operations with Jefferson's overall mission and objectives.
  • Cultivate and lead a high-reliability supply chain team, including developing a succession plan for critical leadership roles.
  • Define and develop supply chain policies, methods, and standards to enhance strategic sourcing and operational excellence across all units.
  • Leverage supply chain management analytics to drive strategic sourcing improvements and collaborate with Finance and Service Lines for margin enhancement.
  • Identify and achieve product, goods, and purchased cost savings and efficiency targets.
  • Develop and oversee internal controls to ensure compliance with state/federal laws and accreditation requirements.
  • Improve product standardization, economic value, business continuity, and risk management.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to optimize operational efficiency and enhance productivity.
  • Develop and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Formulate and execute an enterprise-wide Supply Chain strategic sourcing strategy to ensure high reliability and best-inclass performance.
