About The Position

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for receiving, stocking, and distributing materials and supplies to designated areas. They maintain awareness of all equipment in use and available to best serve the needs of the patient and department. This role involves managing requisitions, shelving, and distributing medical and linen supplies from various storerooms. A key aspect of the job is utilizing PeopleSoft Mobile Supply Chain for inventory management tasks such as receiving, cycle counts, and replenishment. The coordinator also ensures that supply/linen rooms and par level carts meet established quotas, maintaining cleanliness and checking expiration dates. Additionally, the role includes maintaining relevant files, safeguarding patient information, and responding to supply requests in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in inventory preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages requisitions, shelves, and distributes medical and linen supplies to patient care areas from the general storeroom, linen room, and bulk room distribution areas.
  • Utilizes PeopleSoft Mobile Supply Chain for receiving, cycle counts, inventory control, par level, replenishment of stock inventory to various locations and communicates with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assures that all supply/linen rooms, par level carts, orders, and exchange carts meet established quotas both qualitatively and quantitatively.
  • Maintains and restocks supply/linen areas, storeroom, and bulk room for cleanliness, and expiration dates utilizing the established cleaning scheduled, and expired/damaged product inspection logs.
  • Maintains files such as delivery documents, property tag log, and returned goods log.
  • Safeguards patient information and ensures privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Communicates tactfully with patients, family members, visitors and staff.
  • Adapts to fluctuating situations in a professional manner.
  • May use material handling devices such as pallet jacks, furniture movers, etc.
  • Responds to phone, beeper, walk-in, loading dock, and delivers supplies in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
