About The Position

Software Developer will contribute to the development, enhancement and maintenance of Reconciliation and Data Transformation (ETL) as a member of an agile scrum team. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong development team and help to develop challenging new products in the financial space using cutting edge technology. State Street is actively transforming its data and reconciliation ecosystem by migrating from legacy platforms to modern, cloud-based solutions. This role is central to that transformation, ensuring that data pipelines are scalable, reliable, and aligned with evolving business needs. As part of this effort, ETL capabilities are a key enabler for consolidating data sources, improving data quality, and supporting automation across reconciliation workflows. This role provides the opportunity to work on large-scale data integration challenges and contribute to building next-generation platforms that support our global clients.

Requirements

  • Experience with ETL Tools (DataStage, Talend, Informatica)
  • Programming skills
  • Experience with building applications on AWS/Azure cloud platforms.
  • Cloud Computing; Kubernetes, Kafka, Azure/AWS Snowflake
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 10+ years of experience working with J2EE, cloud-based infrastructure (Azure/Snowflake/Python/Cosmos DB), Oracle or any other relational database.
  • Experience migrating applications to AWS/Azure cloud platforms.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and develop solutions to business needs
  • Strong communication skills, self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly responsible.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working with multiple teams in various locations in an agile environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ETL tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of testing and quality assurance methodologies
  • Financial Services experience as a business analyst and / or developer

Responsibilities

  • Work independently to develop, test, and debug software enhancements and solutions within the business and technical problem domains
  • Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications and projects using cloud computing using Java, python or other related software engineering languages
  • Write unit and automation tests to ensure a high-quality product
  • Participating in code reviews
  • Actively participate in the agile software development process by adhering to the scrum methodology including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
  • Triage production issues by reviewing code and logs as needed and come up with solutions
