About The Position

Citi, a leading global bank, is seeking a skilled Fraud .NET Developer to design, develop, support, and maintain scalable applications for fraud detection, prevention, and investigation. This role requires strong hands-on experience with .NET Core, microservices architecture, API development, database technologies, and production support within a highly regulated financial environment. Requirements

  • ASP.NET Core, MVC
  • JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS
  • Microservices development using .NET Core
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns
  • RESTful API design and integration
  • MS SQL Server (T-SQL)
  • Oracle (PL/SQL)
  • Couchbase or other NoSQL databases
  • Experience designing scalable, high-performance database solutions
  • Experience with tools such as GitHub, Lightspeed, Harness, and Tekton
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management
  • Experience working in regulated, compliance-driven environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with test automation using Selenium
  • Understanding of AI fundamentals, including: Prompt engineering, Model interaction and integration with enterprise AI tools
  • Experience with containers and orchestration platforms, such as Docker and OpenShift
  • Prior experience in fraud, risk, payments, or financial services technology
  • Experience supporting mission-critical production systems

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automated workflows integrating multiple APIs, databases, and application user interfaces.
  • Build, enhance, and maintain microservices-based applications using .NET Core and modern design patterns.
  • Design, develop, and optimize database schemas, stored procedures, and functions to support high-volume fraud processing.
  • Collaborate with business partners, architects, and analysts to translate requirements into technical user stories and provide accurate development estimates.
  • Manage code promotion across environments and maintain required SDLC and compliance artifacts.
  • Ensure code repository hygiene, including branching strategies, pull requests, peer reviews, and adherence to developer productivity and quality metrics.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release activities using DevOps tooling.
  • Provide production support for fraud applications, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving application and data issues.
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents, root cause defects, and performance issues in accordance with SLAs.
  • Partner with operations and business teams to ensure application stability, availability, and reliability.
  • Support post-release validation, incident triage, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in on-call or rotational support as required.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect resolution to meet release timelines.
  • Support production deployments and ensure smooth post-release operations.
