About The Position

The Venmo AVP Campaign & Initiatives Manager will be responsible for flawless execution of the Venmo co-brand portfolio programs, while establishing a strong and productive partnership with the client to achieve or exceed portfolio goals. This successful candidate will implement strategies that deliver on our growth commitments and generate new insights in a test and learn environment. The AVP Campaign & Initiatives Manager should have expertise in digital marketing channels and be focused on continual innovation and learning in the space to provide a great customer experience. The role will flex across the co-brand marketing team to lead development and execution of key initiatives, including managing the team’s operating rhythm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school equivalent plus 9+ years of marketing experience within the credit card or financial services industry
  • 5+ years of marketing and/or retail client portfolio experience
  • Good understanding of credit, payments, and digital marketing
  • Willingness to travel 25%
  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Responsibilities

  • Flawless execution of Venmo Co-Brand programs, following all processes and meeting all requirements of the business
  • Partner with the client and co-brand marketing team on growth initiatives to meet or exceed portfolio goals
  • Develop and execute programs to drive new accounts, sales and loyalty through the entire customer lifecycle
  • Manage cardholder communications across a variety of digital and offline channels, throughout the customer lifecycle
  • Develop product lifecycle strategies and partner with cross functional teams to deliver on initiatives to influence and change cardholder behavior
  • Work with internal, client and external resources to manage development of digital assets, research plans, product prototypes, and marketing collateral (including acquisition and lifecycle)
  • Have a digital mindset to develop effective creatives, track program performance, and maximize customer performance across all our digital engagement channels
  • Willingness and flexibility to change direction when needed
  • Build and maintain a strong, trusting, and productive partnership with Venmo
  • Manage marketing budget tracking, invoice processing & monthly reconciliation for specific marketing programs and special initiatives
  • Manage program spend within contractual obligations of the marketing fund
  • Participate in cross- functional product, channel and customer experience IT builds to support various growth initiatives
  • Participate in the development of marketing plans, including the annual growth plan.
  • Coordinate across the team and with the client on the internal PAR / budgeting process.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal & external legal and regulatory requirements
  • Work with Analytics teams to plan campaigns (targeting strategy) and assess campaign performance to iterate on targeting hypotheses
  • Monitor industry trends to influence product enhancements and customer experience outcomes
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and gain alignment to execute key initiatives
  • Effective internal partnership across functions at all levels of the organization
  • Monitor and accurately forecast program performance.
  • Understand actual performance against forecast to improve go-forward strategies
  • Partner with the Synchrony COE Product and Digital teams to gain learnings that influence growth strategies
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
