About The Position

As an Avionics Technician II, you will independently install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain detailed records of your work. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Proficiency in electronic principles and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to understand applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings.
  • Basic skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, and wiring installation.
  • Experience with soldering and crimping techniques.
  • Must have own tools in good working order.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
  • Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Avionics, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Advanced soldering skills and knowledge of electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret advanced technical manuals and schematics.
  • Familiarity with FCC and FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL).
  • Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope. and/or pitot static equipment.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation and maintenance of avionics equipment independently.
  • Troubleshoot and repair avionics systems.
  • Conduct detailed testing of avionics components.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with FCC, FAA, and company regulations.
  • Assist in training junior technicians.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and manuals in good condition.
