Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
  • Valid U.S./state driver’s license.
  • Valid passport (U.S. or other nation).
  • Ability to operate Company vehicles and equipment on airport and over-the-road after training and authorization.
  • Knowledge of all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, wiring diagrams, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to remain calm during adverse conditions.
  • Ability to think and react quickly with a sense of urgency to time-sensitive problem situations.
  • Detailed organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
  • Ability to travel without restriction in and out of the U.S.
  • Aircraft Maintenance personnel must be able to travel on short notice to perform line maintenance and/or aircraft recovery/repairs as needed, for indefinite periods of time.
  • Ability to complete training and qualification requirements as defined in USA Jet approved/accepted manuals.
  • Must pass an initial and random Drug and Alcohol screening process as required by the FAA.
  • Must pass a fingerprint-based criminal history records check and/or Security Threat Assessment (STA) as required by the TSA.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Be thoroughly familiar with the requirements of the Operations Manual, FAA Regulations, and the USA Jet General Maintenance Manual as they apply to the operation of the Avionics Shop.
  • Perform tasks assigned by the Lead Avionics Technician in accordance with current FARs and USA Jet standards.
  • Inform the Lead Avionics Technician about the need for progressive inspections.
  • Report any discrepancies noted during assigned tasks to the Lead Avionics Technician.
  • Annotate all work accomplished after completing an assigned task and notify the Lead Avionics Technician or USA Jet Inspection Department when inspection sign-off is required.
  • Perform tasks and operate equipment safely and properly, reporting any unsafe conditions to the Lead Avionics Technician or Director of Maintenance.
  • Actively participate in USA Jet Safety Programs and Safety Management System.
  • Report all safety concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensure personal and co-worker safety during task performance.
  • Follow Occupational Safety and Health Organization standards.
  • Perform all tasks as assigned by your Lead or Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
