About The Position

As a Bench Technician / Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for performing equipment repairs and maintenance. You will utilize your mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools to diagnose and repair various types of FAA components. Additionally, your understanding of computer networking and low voltage systems will be crucial in troubleshooting issues. You will follow schematics and technical manuals to ensure accurate repairs, documenting all activities along the way. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Requirements

Strong electrical knowledge and aptitude
Must be able to troubleshoot electrical failures down to a component level
Must be familiar with Logic Theory
Proficient in using hand tools and specialized equipment
Familiarity with computer networking and low voltage systems
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot electronic failures down to component level on PCB's
Perform equipment repairs and maintenance according to established procedures
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
Use hand tools and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment
Use capacitors, resistors and transistors
Must be familiar with power supplies, o-scopes, analogs and digital meters
Follow schematics and technical manuals to ensure proper repairs
Test repaired equipment to ensure functionality and performance
Document all repairs and maintenance activities accurately
