About The Position
College Station ISD is looking for energetic, committed college/university students to be tutors in our Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) classes. These classes provide academic instruction and tutorial support to students and prepares them for eligibility for four-year colleges and universities. Tutors are needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays at various campuses and scheduled for a minimum of 2 hours and up to 8 hours between 8:00 am to 4:00 pm based on your availability and our need.
Requirements
- Must be an energetic, committed college/university student.
- Must be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
- Must pass a Criminal History Check.
- Must read the AVID Tutor Expectations to determine suitability for the position.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of AVID Tutoring experience (may lead to higher pay).
Responsibilities
- Provide academic instruction and tutorial support to students in AVID classes.
- Prepare students for eligibility for four-year colleges and universities.
