About The Position

This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position in the regular career civil service. The incumbent provides aviation management resources for the unit pertaining to assigned rated and non-rated, career enlisted and non-career enlisted aircrew. ARTs must meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements, obtain military membership in the Air Force Reserve, wear the uniform, and maintain job-specific military specialty and other military qualification requirements. The regular assignments are ART duties, although some non-ART duties may be assigned, generally not exceeding 30 percent of total responsibilities. The position may require temporary duty travel, including flying in commercial or military aircraft, and occasional work outside normal duty hours or overtime to meet workload demands. The incumbent must maintain current certifications and obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance. This is a drug-testing-designated position, and a qualifying domestic-violence conviction disqualifies an individual from performing its duties.
