Aviation Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2027
About The Position
AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Civil Engineering Intern to join our Orlando, FL office. Your role will involve receiving mentorship to assist experienced engineering staff in the design and production of engineering plans and specifications for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects. These projects include runways, taxiways, aprons, parking lots, and supporting infrastructure. You will contribute to various elements of airfield geometric design, pavement design, airport lighting, and construction administration tasks for commercial service and general aviation airports. Periodically, you will perform construction field observations at aviation project sites and attend weekly construction meetings. You will also assist with project quantity take-offs.
Requirements
- Pursuing your Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct.
