About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Civil Engineer to join our Aviation Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Your Role Utilize good computer skills with a working knowledge of standard office software, and the desire to learn new specialized software applications. Receive mentorship to assist experienced engineering staff in the design and production of engineering plans and specifications for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, and supporting infrastructure. Contribute to various elements of airfield geometric design, pavement design, airport lighting, and construction administration tasks for commercial service and general aviation airports. Under the direction of the engineer of record or design task leader, using Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD, prepare and document estimates of construction quantities such as pavement layer material volumes, weights, or areas, earthwork volumes, miscellaneous structure counts, and linear asset lengths. Periodically perform construction field observations at aviation project sites and attend construction meetings.

Requirements

  • Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct
  • E.I. or E.I.T. preferred, or ability to obtain within six (6) months of date of hire
