About The Position

Passero Associates is seeking an Aviation Civil Engineer to join its team and report to the Sandy Springs, Georgia office. The role supports development of airport airfield project plans, including grading, drainage and erosion control, pavement design, utilities, stormwater management, quantity takeoffs, technical specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates for projects throughout Georgia and the Southeast.

The engineer contributes to all phases of project delivery, from concept development through construction closeout, including client interaction, and uses current technologies and software. The role includes design work under the direction of senior engineers as well as construction administration in both office and field settings.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a civil-related field.
• At least 4 years of civil engineering experience.
• Coursework in civil/infrastructure design, transportation engineering, water resources, pavement engineering, construction management, or related topics.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
• Ability to report to the Sandy Springs office.
• Ability to obtain an Airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge, including passing a Federal Background Check with a clear record.

Nice To Haves

• Aviation design experience is preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual designs, preliminary and detailed cost estimates, and permitting documents.
• Develop design documents, construction plans, technical specifications, engineering reports, and plan production packages.
• Perform engineering design tasks under the direction of senior engineers.
• Perform construction administration services in the office and in the field.
