You understand your customer’s environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer focused engineering solution. As an AV technician you manage and provide oversight of the audiovisual (AV) and video teleconferencing (VTC) for an Operations Group at the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Fort Leavenworth, KS. You also interact with the training audience to digitally document their progression through the operations process. Your role will involve collaborating with a team of AV/VTC technicians to support national security missions. You'll assist with setup, operation, and teardown of video-related equipment for exercises and events. Additionally, you'll contribute to maintaining personnel readiness by documenting training audience activities and by participating in training and professional development activities. Audiovisual and video teleconferencing support: • Provide high-level support and troubleshooting for all VTC and AV technology, including setup, configuration, and maintenance. Act as a technical point of contact for commanders and other senior leaders regarding video conferencing and event support. Ensure smooth integration of VTC sessions with other mission command information systems for briefings, After Action Reviews (AARs), and other command presentations. • This includes planning, coordinating, and executing all video support requirements for Warfighter Exercises (WFXs) and other high-level command training events, to include . The team lead ensures all AV/VTC systems, including webcasting and streaming capabilities, are fully operational and troubleshoot complex issues to minimize training disruption.
