About The Position

The AV Technician III / Senior is a highly experienced professional responsible for leading complex audiovisual operations, ensuring technical excellence, and supporting the overall performance and development of the AV function. This role serves as a subject matter expert and technical leader, overseeing high-profile events and managing advanced AV systems with precision and confidence. The Senior Technician is responsible for handling the most complex technical requirements, proactively identifying risks, and implementing solutions that ensure seamless execution. This role also supports operational strategy by contributing to process improvements, equipment planning, and best practices. In addition to technical leadership, the AV Technician III plays a key role in mentoring and developing team members, reinforcing standards, and promoting consistency across operations. This position requires advanced technical expertise, strong leadership capability, and the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, high-visibility environments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive AV experience
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex, high-level events
  • Experience mentoring or leading junior technicians
  • Experience working with both Microsoft and Apple products and other related AV software
  • Ability to sit, use hands and fingers, talk or hear, and smell continually.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and reach frequently.
  • Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch occasionally.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Close vision required to see computer monitors, read documents, and operate copy and fax machines.
  • Distance vision is required to drive an automobile if driving is a requirement of the job.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of complex and high-profile AV events
  • Serve as the escalation point for advanced technical issues
  • Design and implement AV solutions for unique or non-standard event needs
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all AV operations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high-level clients
  • Provide expert consultation and recommendations for AV solutions
  • Ensure exceptional service delivery for high-visibility events
  • Train, mentor, and support development of AV Technician I and II team members
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and knowledge-sharing
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, and high-performance standards
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
  • Support equipment planning, upgrades, and standardization
  • Collaborate with leadership on long-term AV operational needs
  • Resolve complex technical challenges under pressure
