(Military Veterans are highly encouraged to apply) Role Overview: The AV Support Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting audio-visual (AV) technology across conference rooms, meeting spaces, training facilities, and event locations. This role ensures seamless operation of AV equipment and collaboration platforms to support business meetings, presentations, virtual events, and executive communications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience supporting audio-visual systems in a corporate, educational, or event environment.
  • Experience with video conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, or Cisco Webex.
  • Knowledge of AV technologies including displays, projectors, microphones, cameras, DSPs, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with AV manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, Logitech, Poly, Cisco, Shure, or Biamp.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP-based AV systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and move AV equipment up to 50 pounds and work in conference rooms, event spaces, and office environments.
  • U.S Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Electronics, Audio Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification from AVIXA.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms or other unified communications platforms.
  • Knowledge of AV-over-IP technologies.
  • Experience with digital signage systems.
  • Basic knowledge of network infrastructure and cabling standards.
  • IT support or help desk experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for audio-visual systems, including projectors, displays, microphones, cameras, speakers, and control systems.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor AV equipment for meetings, presentations, training sessions, and company events.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AV hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
  • Support video conferencing and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, and other conferencing solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance, testing, and preventive inspections of AV equipment.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade AV systems and related hardware.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment repairs, upgrades, and installations.
  • Create and maintain documentation, user guides, inventory records, and support procedures.
  • Provide end-user training and guidance on conference room technology and AV best practices.
  • Monitor conference room performance and proactively address technical issues.
  • Assist with planning and executing company-wide meetings, executive events, and hybrid presentations.
  • Maintain AV equipment inventory and track asset lifecycle management.
  • Ensure all AV systems comply with company standards, security policies, and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support network-connected AV devices and integrated technology solutions.
