About The Position

Blue Mantis Canada is seeking an AV Specialist Technician for a 10-month contract, on-site role. This position involves managing meeting room technology, from requirements gathering and design to vendor quotes and project completion. The role requires a customer-focused approach, the ability to manage projects independently under demanding timelines, and experience with RFP processes. Training users on deployed technology and understanding the bank's risk appetite are also key aspects of the position. Requirements

  • 1-3 Years’ industry experience.
  • Good knowledge of how audio/video technology in each meeting room works and can troubleshoot AV technology on the spot.
  • Demonstrates technical proficiency gained through broad exposure to all aspects of AV Deployments.
  • Basic knowledge of Regulatory bodies (internal and external) and Vendor contracts.
  • Familiarity with Cisco, Crestron, other AV Technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Time management skills are a must.

  • Certifications, Courses are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides recommendations and solutions for all meeting room technology.
  • Gathers technology requirements, provides a design document, gathers quotes from multiple vendors and manages the project from start to finish.
  • Manages projects and meets demanding timelines.
  • Works on moderate to large scope projects and goes out for RFPs.
  • Provides training to users after each deployment.
  • Works with various AV technologies (Cisco, Crestron, etc.).
  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
  • Completes various Moves, Adds, Changes and Disconnects.
  • Manages vendors to ensure excellent quality of work.
