About The Position
Capitol Technology Group is seeking a hands-on, technically inclined AV Service Technician to service residential A/V, Home Theater, Network, Control, Lighting & Shading Systems. This role involves reading and interpreting floor plans, understanding wiring and signal flow, programming control systems, advanced networking, troubleshooting devices, training clients, recommending upgrades, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, eager to learn, comfortable working in the field, and possesses a steady work history.
Requirements
- Experience on construction sites, AV, Lighting, Shading, Control, and Networks
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to use power tools & hand tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Steady work history (3yrs between hops)
- Pleasant disposition
- High EQ
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Servicing residential A/V, Home Theater, Network, Control, Lighting & Shading Systems
- Read and interpret floor plans and technical documents
- Understanding of wiring and signal flow
- Programming Control Systems (C4, Savant, Crestron, Lutron)
- Advanced understanding of networking
- Advanced troubleshooting of devices
- Train clients on use of systems
- Recommend upgrades when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service
