About The Position

We are seeking a trustworthy and growth-oriented Project Manager to join our team. This role involves splitting time between field and office work, requiring a hands-on approach and technical curiosity. The ideal candidate will have experience on construction sites, knowledge of the built environment, and familiarity with all three phases of implementation (Rough/Trim/Final). A steady work history, high emotional intelligence, and a pleasant disposition are essential. This is an in-person role based in Lombard, IL, with projects located in the surrounding area. The schedule is Monday-Fri 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, reporting to John, VP of Operations.

Requirements

Experience on construction sites as a Project Manager (AV/LV is a plus).
Knowledge of the built environment.
Experience with all three phases of implementation (Rough/Trim/Final).
A steady work history (3 years between job changes).
High emotional intelligence.
Ability to read, interpret, manifest, mark-up, and distribute plan sets/blueprints.
Ability to work on construction sites with situational awareness.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, in-house staff, other trades, GCs, and architects.
Understand, deliver, and troubleshoot the scope of work as needed.
Plan and manage project timelines, ensuring alignment with resources.
Monitor project profitability by keeping actual hours at or below budgeted hours, and by removing redundancy and errors.
Issue work orders to the team and coordinate with third parties.
Ensure all work meets the scope of work, plans, company standards, and client expectations.
Read, interpret, manifest, mark-up, and distribute plan sets/blueprints to the team.
Create, submit, obtain approval for, confirm payment for, and execute change orders.
Maintain up-to-date status updates in Project Management Software at all times.
Work on construction sites with situational awareness.
