About The Position

TEKsystems is looking for an AV Service Engineer to service their existing customers in the area. Seeking candidates who are well versed troubleshooters in Audio Video technology. Potential candidates must have experience with major AV brands such as Crestron and Biamp. Will be providing in person troubleshooting of audio video systems found in executive board rooms and conference centers. Must be professional and have the ability to interface with enterprise customers. The successful candidate will work from home and will be dispatched to client sites in the Indianapolis / Louisville / Cincinnati area to troubleshoot and resolve AV issues found in Board rooms and conference rooms.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 or more years of experience with AV troubleshooting.
  • Experience troubleshooting and understanding Crestron systems.
  • Ability to reverse engineer legacy AV systems.
  • Ability to debug newly built systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with Extron equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with Biamp, QSC audio DSP products and systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with Cisco, POLY, LOGITECH video conference systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with Luxul, NETGEAR, CISCO switches.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with Video wall systems: Planar, UNILUMEN, LG, Samsung, Barco products and systems.
  • Experience testing with multimeter and troubleshooting issues.
  • Ability to research and specify replacement products.
  • Intermediate to advanced AV Networking skills.
  • Customer interfacing skills and experience working with customers regularly.
  • A two-year diploma from a college of technical school, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years minimum field service experience.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel and/or crouch for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
  • Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • CTS certification highly preferred, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to custom control systems: Crestron DM and NVX / AMX.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex audio video systems found in executive board rooms and conference centers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex video teleconferencing equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Audio Visual over IP (AVoIP) networks for the use of audio-visual data over LAN, WAN and internet.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Audio DSP based systems to include amplifiers, speakers and microphones.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex projection display devices and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex video wall equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex digital signage equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve RF Systems (analog and digital) to a lesser degree.
  • Conduct Preventative Maintenance testing.
  • Perform site surveys related to service agreement quotes.
  • Write concise service reports and/or system site surveys.
  • Manage multiple service projects.
  • Lead and mentor junior/intermediate level field service techs.
