Requirements

• 5 years of experience in AV programming
• Bilingual: French and English
• College diploma in Computer Science, Automated Production, Electrical Engineering, Video Game Industry, or other relevant education/work experience
• Advanced IT knowledge; proficiency in programming languages such as C# and Lua
• Experience and/or training in Crestron control system programming
• Valid driver’s license in Québec; willingness to travel outside Québec and Canada
• Availability to work occasionally evenings and weekends
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills, with excellent prioritization and deadline management
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills
• Demonstrated autonomy, rigor, and discipline
• Customer service–oriented mindset

Nice To Haves

• Experience in home automation or industrial automation is an asset
• Familiarity with Medialon, AMX, Videoconferencing, DSP, and Video Server systems is an asset

Responsibilities

• Perform meticulous work and ensure that program databases, files, and all relevant information are kept up to date.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams to establish appropriate programming.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding the operation of their systems.
• Train clients on system usage.
• Handle service calls.
• Act as a technical resource and expert during system commissioning.
• Stay informed about products and work tools related to your area of expertise.
• Collaborate closely with project teams.
• Represent Solotech to clients and suppliers.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with current health and safety standards.
• Perform any other related tasks as required by the department and the company.
