About The Position
As an AV Intern at Threshold, you’ll be an integral part of the consulting team, contributing to real project work while building technical and professional skills. You’ll receive hands-on training with AV design and modeling software, supported by experienced mentors. This summer internship is designed to expand your knowledge, grow your professional network, and give you insight into a career in AV consulting. Interns gain experience across a wide range of consulting activities, which vary depending on project timing and needs. These experiences often include studying, modeling, and analyzing AV system elements; assisting with written deliverables; developing design sketches and drawings; conducting technical research; contributing input to the design process for real projects; participating in meetings and collaborating with colleagues and outside clients; and traveling to on-site evaluations and construction progress reviews to observe real-world applications of AV system design and consulting work. Applications are accepted through January 20, 2027.
Responsibilities
