About The Position

Echo Workshop is seeking a skilled Low-Voltage Installation Technician who is trustworthy, eager to learn and grow, hands-on, and technically inclined. This role involves working in the field, interpreting floor plans, pulling and terminating low-voltage cabling, mounting devices, building equipment racks, and performing advanced setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of AV, network, control, lighting, and shading systems. The technician will also be responsible for programming Lutron/Control4/Crestron/Savant/Vantage systems and training clients on system usage.

Requirements

• Experience on construction sites
• Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools
• A steady work history (3yrs between hops)
• Pleasant disposition, High EQ
• 3+ yrs experience working in Resi/Commercial AV Retrofit
• Mastery of sheetrock cutting and wire fishing techniques
• Low voltage cabling wizard
• Self-motivated w/ passion for Custom Electronics
• Attitude for learning & Personal Growth

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret floor plans and technical documents
• Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron)
• Mount devices at the ends of those wires (AV/Network/Control/Lighting/Shading)
• Build and lace equipment racks
• Advanced setup and configuration of devices
• Advanced understanding of networks
• Advanced troubleshooting of devices
• Programming of Lutron/Control4/Crestron/Savant/Vantage
• Train clients on use of systems
