AV Installation Technician

About The Position
Port City Sound is seeking a hands-on, technically inclined AV Installation Technician who is eager to learn and grow. This role is ideal for someone who prefers field work over desk work and has a natural curiosity about how things function. The technician will be responsible for installing and configuring audio-visual systems, including cabling, device mounting, equipment rack setup, and system configuration and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Experience on construction sites
- Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools
- A steady work history (3yrs between hops)
- High EQ
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must pass NC Alarm Board background check
Responsibilities
- Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron, Crestron)
- Mount devices at the ends of those wires
- Build and lace equipment racks
- Setup and configuration of devices
- Understanding of networks
- Troubleshooting of devices
- Work With Control & Lighting Systems (Control4, Crestron, Savant, Lutron, etc)
