About The Position
Have you dreamed of becoming a superhero? Now is your chance! Come apply to be a local superhero as an Auxiliary Firefighter with the City of Novi Fire Department. As an Auxiliary Firefighter you will work a 12-hour shift covering the City days, nights and/or weekends, responding to requests for service and emergencies such as storms, medical emergencies, fires, and perform service work as needed. The Auxiliary Firefighter position works well for those superheroes looking for work outside of the traditional hours of 9-to-5.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Valid Michigan Driver's License and safe driving record
- Michigan Fire Fighter I & II certifications
- Michigan EMT license
- Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations Certification
- Ability to pass the CPAT
- Ability to pass NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800
Responsibilities
- Respond to requests for service and emergencies such as storms, medical emergencies, fires
- Perform service work as needed
