STR’s Analytics & C2 (AC2) Division develops advanced analytics to address national security problems. The Collaborative Autonomy and Control (CAC) Group builds software systems for uncrewed-system autonomy, multi-agent collaboration, resource management, and control, using expertise in machine learning, algorithms, model-predictive control, and software development. As an Autonomy Software Engineer, you will work on a close-knit team to design, develop, implement, integrate, test, and demonstrate advanced algorithms and software systems for autonomous platforms. You will support programs across the software and system development lifecycle, from early prototypes through integrated systems. Your work will include software tools and applications for mission-planning systems, automated control processes, unmanned platforms, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines. The position is based in Woburn, Massachusetts, or Arlington, Virginia, in a flexible hybrid environment. Remote work is welcome when the work does not require use of STR facilities. The role requires U.S. citizenship. Positions at STR require employees to obtain national security clearances and meet export-control and other applicable legal requirements.
