About The Position

Dent Wizard is looking for a reliable Wet Sand & Buff Technician to join their team in Madison, WI. This role supports the Paint Technicians by locating and removing imperfections on vehicle panels and treating scratches and chips. The technician will wet sand and buff panels to achieve a showroom shine. Dent Wizard is a leader in automotive reconditioning services and vehicle protection products, with opportunities in 43 states and a history of repairing millions of vehicles annually.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in paint chip repair, wet sanding and buffing experience in a body shop environment.
• Strong work ethic, flexibility, speed and attention to detail.
• Toughness and grit to work outside in all kinds of weather.
• Physical stamina to kneel, bend and squat, as well as lift up to 15 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

• Potential to move up into Paint Tech or other Tech roles, which leads to even greater earning potential.
• Learn the automotive paint process by being mentored by our Paint Techs.

Responsibilities

• Locate and remove imperfections on panels.
• Treat scratches and chips with the necessary steps.
• Wet sand and buff needed panels to give the vehicle a showroom shine.
• Support the team of Paint Technicians.
