About The Position

Are you an automotive technician, mechanic, or service professional looking to transition from the shop floor into a professional office environment? We are seeking an Automotive Warranty Specialist to join a growing team that supports vehicle service contract and warranty claims. In this role, you'll utilize your automotive repair expertise to review mechanical claims, communicate with dealerships and vehicle owners, and determine warranty coverage eligibility. This is a great opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a less physically demanding environment while gaining valuable experience in claims administration and customer support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of automotive repair experience or equivalent technical automotive knowledge preferred.
  • Strong understanding of: Engine repair, Transmission systems, Electrical systems, Vehicle diagnostics, General automotive repair procedures
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems while speaking with customers.
  • Candidates must have open availability during operating hours.
  • Must be willing to work approximately one Saturday per month.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Certifications.
  • Dealership service department experience.
  • Warranty administration experience.
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and process mechanical claims using established warranty guidelines.
  • Utilize automotive repair knowledge to determine claim eligibility and coverage.
  • Communicate with dealerships, repair facilities, and vehicle owners via phone and email.
  • Explain claim approvals, denials, and required next steps.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while resolving claim-related questions and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate claim documentation and electronic records.
  • Follow established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure consistent and fair claim decisions.
  • Review repair recommendations submitted by dealerships.
  • Determine whether repairs qualify for warranty coverage.
  • Communicate approval or denial decisions based on contract guidelines.
  • Explain claim outcomes and coverage decisions.
  • Answer questions regarding contract benefits and repair eligibility.
  • Assist customers in understanding how to obtain repair estimates.
  • Explain required documentation and next steps in the claims process.
