About The Position

DARCARS Toyota of Baltimore is hiring an Automotive Valet, a customer-facing role that supports customer satisfaction and the dealership’s operations. The position is responsible for managing the service lane and performing a variety of tasks and errands. The employee must conduct business professionally and ethically, follow dealership policies and procedures, and perform other duties assigned by a supervisor. Employment is at will, and offers are contingent on successfully passing background screening, including criminal background, consumer and motor vehicle record reviews, and SSN verification.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Strong communication skills with customers and DARCARS employees.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, and to converse comfortably with customers.
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand for long periods in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner.
• Greet every customer with a smile.
• Direct customers to their desired destinations when parking or retrieving vehicles.
• Assist with service write-up and tagging customer vehicles.
• Help maintain efficient vehicle flow within the dealership as service tickets are generated.
• Move client vehicles to and from the shop and assist Advisors and Technicians with service-visit needs.
• Provide shuttle service to customers when requested.
• Report situations or conditions that jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees, or customers to management.
• Maintain cleanliness of the service area, keeping the floor clean and dry as necessary.
• Remove garbage.
• Clean driveways and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow as necessary.
• Comply with DARCARS policies and procedures.
• Assist in dealer exchanges.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
