About The Position

DARCARS of Rockville is hiring an Automotive Valet, a customer-facing role that supports customer satisfaction and the dealership’s continued success. The valet manages the service lane, helps direct and move vehicles, assists customers and dealership staff, and performs related tasks and errands. The employee may also provide shuttle service and maintain the cleanliness and safety of service areas and dealership walkways. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Strong communication skills with customers and DARCARS employees.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, and converse comfortably with customers.
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand for long periods in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner.
• Greet every customer with a smile.
• Direct customers to their desired destinations when parking or retrieving their vehicles.
• Assist with service write-up and tagging of customer vehicles.
• Help maintain efficient vehicle flow within the dealership as service tickets are generated.
• Move client vehicles to and from the shop and assist Advisors and Technicians with needs related to the service visit.
• Provide shuttle service to customers when requested.
• Report situations or conditions that jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees, or its customers to management.
• Maintain cleanliness of the service area, keeping the floor clean and dry as necessary.
• Remove garbage.
• Clean driveways and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow as necessary.
• Comply with DARCARS policies and procedures.
• Assist in dealer exchanges.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
