Requirements

3-5+ years of professional Automotive Technician experience
GM dealership experience required
Transmission repair experience required
Valid Driver's License
Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting abilities
Ability to consistently produce quality flat-rate hours

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and maintenance according to Chevrolet and dealership standards
Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC components
Perform advanced transmission diagnostics, repairs, rebuilds, and replacements
Test-drive vehicles and utilize factory diagnostic equipment to identify concerns
Complete repairs accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with manufacturer guidelines
Communicate repair recommendations and additional service needs with Service Advisors
Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
Work closely with the Parts Department to obtain necessary components
Document all repairs, findings, and procedures accurately
Participate in GM manufacturer training and certification programs
Stay current on technical service bulletins and emerging vehicle technologies
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow OSHA, environmental, and dealership safety standards
