About The Position

Fountain Tire Grande Prairie (Whispering Ridge) is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as an Automotive Tire Technician! You will be responsible for installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing tires and wheels, resetting TPMS, maintaining equipment, performing specialty tire work, assisting with inventory, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in the automotive/tire industry
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms

Nice To Haves

• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset

Responsibilities

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe
