About The Position

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician with Porsche or similar-brand experience for its Naperville Porsche location. The technician performs vehicle repairs and maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards, using effective diagnosis and repair to build customer trust and confidence. This is an opportunity to join a large, growing automotive dealership group with more than 25 vehicle brands, over 50 dealerships across seven states, and more than 3,500 employees nationwide.

Requirements

• Proficiency with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old, with a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable local laws and regulations.

• Experience working with Porsche or a similar automotive brand.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel and ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, air-conditioning, and computer systems to specifications.
• Explain technical diagnoses and necessary repairs clearly to non-mechanical employees and customers.
• Continuously update technical skills and techniques through formal training to keep pace with changing automotive technology.
• Keep store management informed of mechanical repair problems as they arise.
• Maintain an organized and neat service bay.
• Test specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function and ensure critical parts are examined.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning parts and systems, including brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
• Conduct further tests, including test drives when needed, to verify repairs are completed correctly.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
